Der Flexodruck
Der Flexodruck zeichnet sich durch seine gute Wiedergabe von Flächendrucken aus. Bilder (Raster) und Verläufe sind aufgrund der Limitierung der Druckpunktgröße und anderen technischen Voraussetzungen (Anpressdruck, Druckpunktzunahme, Teilung von Strich- u. Raster …) Grenzen gesetzt. Für den Druck werden Polymerplatten (sogenannte Cyrel-Platten) benötigt, welche die Druckfarben auf den zu bedruckenden Stoff – zumeist Papier und Kunststoff – übertragen. Gedruckt wird im CMYK-Farbmodus oder in sogenannten Spot-Color (Pantone oder HKS). Für die korrekte Einschätzung der Polymer Druckplattenkosten ist eine vorherige Sichtung des Druckbildes unbedingt nötig. Die Kosten für die Druckplatten sind einmalig und fallen nur bei Erstauftrag an. Bei unveränderten Nachfolgeaufträge können diese Platten – ohne Anfall von weiteren Kosten – maximal 3 Jahre oder für 2 Millionen Drucke wiederverwendet werden.
Flexographic printing
Flexographic printing is characterized by its good reproduction of area prints. There are limits to images (Halftone screening) and gradients due to the limitation of print dot size and other technical requirements (contact pressure, increase in print dots, separation of area prints and halftone, etc.). For printing, polymer plates (so-called Cyrel plates) are required, which transfer the printing inks to the material to be printed - usually paper and plastic. Printing is done in CMYK color mode or in so-called spot color (Pantone or HKS). In order to correctly estimate the polymer printing plate costs, it is absolutely necessary to view the printed image beforehand. The costs for the printing plates are one-off and only apply to the first order. If follow-up orders remain unchanged, these plates can be reused for a maximum of 3 years or for 2 million prints - without incurring any further costs.
